Orion is proud to announce we have joined the 1T.org community! We pledged to donate 10,000 trees over the next 5 years and will be partnering with three distinguished organizations: Plant for Planet, National Forest, and Jewish National Fund-KKL (Israel). This is an exciting step in our commitment to doing our part in restoring the environment.
We’ve had the opportunity to work closely with Jad Daley, co-chair of the 1t.org US Chapter and CEO of American Forests. His assistance was instrumental in the development of our pledge. He has expressed that “this exciting pledge from Orion Global Solutions shows how we can work together across corporate, NGO and faith organizations to plant trees that carry a powerful, inspiring message while also bettering our planet.” This is important as Jad explained that “the 1t.org US Chapter is focused on driving greater diversity and inclusion in the reforestation movement, including a keen interest in engaging communities of faith.”
Business Can Be Personal
Faith was also a driving force in this pledge as there is a personal reforestation story in our past. Orion CEO, Yacov Wrocherinsky, was born in Argentina where many members of his family were heavily involved as leaders in the Argentine Jewish community.
When Yacov’s uncle and namesake, Moises Jakobo Wrocherinsky, passed in 1948, before Yacov was born, Moises was buried in Israel. Since he had substantial involvement in the Argentinian Jewish community, his family planted thousands of trees in northern Israel and named the forest after Moises.

Sustainability is a Daily Conversation
Over the years, Orion has been involved in reforestation efforts. In 2020 during the height of COVID-19, we partnered with One Tree Planted to plant trees in honor of New York State’s first responders and healthcare workers. We felt this was an important gesture to recognize the sacrifice these women and men have made during those challenging days.
In continuation of our mission to create a greater impact in supporting our communities, we have grown the sustainability line of business with the development of Salesforce Net Zero Rapid Start™ program. This program helps companies calculate their carbon emissions baselines and provides them with tools to better manage and reduce those emissions. This program has played an instrumental role in transforming the way our clients discuss sustainability across all their business decisions.
All these programs and actions support our participation in Salesforce’s “Pledge 1%.” Since 2018, we have been donating 1% of our time and profits to nonprofit fundraising events including Susan B. Komen Foundation, Homecoming Farm, etc..
Reforestation, emissions reductions, recycling, and clean water are just some of the topics in the sustainability conversation. We are committed to being a force for good and keeping the conversation going!
